Background
Lähiapteekit is a pharmacy chain owned by pharmacists. The pharmacists are self-employed, and as such the chain’s customer magazine and joint marketing activities make everyday life easier for the pharmacy branche owners. The Lähiapteekit chain has around 50 branches in Finland, extending from the south coast to Lapland. Local pharmacies aim to take care of their customers’ well-being in a holistic way.
What we are doing
We have been publishing the “Lähiapteekisi” customer magazine since the chain was founded. The first issue was published in the fall of 2019. The publication focuses on wellbeing and health topics and it is published six times a year. The magazine’s themes are close to readers’ everyday lives, and it offers tips for wellbeing for the entire family, not forgetting pets.
Results
The magazine is a eagerly awaited informational package, delivered to mailboxes or to be picked up while visiting the pharmacy. Articles are also published on the Lähiapteekit website. The magazine’s offerings serve the clientele extremely well and since its publication there has been a clear increase in demand for the products featured in the magazine. Feedback from readers indicates that the magazine is refreshing and and versatile.
