OSG Communications news letter and customer register

Grounds for maintaining register

We collect a customer data register of all OSG Communications’ customers, subscribers of our news letter through the osgviestintä.fi website and persons leaving a contact request through the osgviestintä.fi website’s contact form.

Purpose of register

The purpose of the register is to manage OSG Communications’ customer register by filing and managing customer contacts and taking care of customer relationships. If necessary, the data can be used for developing OSG Communications procedures, for keeping statistics and for creating targeted content for our website. Personal data is processed within the limits defined in the Personal Data Act.

The data from the customer register may be used for target marketing, but personal data will not be transmitted to third parties. OSG Communications’ partners responsible for the management of customer and service relationships are not considered as third parties. Part of the customer register data may, in some cases, be transmitted to a partner’s server due to technical requirements. The data is processed solely for the benefit of OSG Communications’ customer relationship management through technical interfaces.

OSG Communications has the right to publish a list of the data restored in the customer register, electronically or as a printed version, unless the customer specifically forbids this. A list can be used for stick-on mailing labels for direct advertising, for instance. The customer has the right to forbid the publishing of the data, by notifying OSG Communications’ customer service via email, at: viestintä@osg.fi.

Information contained in the register

The personal data register entails the following information:

Person’s first and last name
Email address
Postal address
Telephone number
Content of the contact form
Disclosure of information

Customer register data is solely in the possession of OSG Communications, except when OSG Communications employs a third-party service provider for additional services or for the backing of a credit decision. The data will not be disclosed outside OSG Communications or its partners, with the exception of credit application, debt collection or invoicing matters, or when required by law. Personal data will not be transmitted outside the European Union, unless necessary for confirming a technical realisation by OSG Communications or its partner.

The personal data of a registered person will be erased on the user’s request, unless prevented by legislation, outstanding invoices or debt collection.

Protection of register

The register will not be disclosed to third parties. To access to the register the user must have access rights for osgviestintä.fi’s internal network. The register is located on osgviestintä.fi’s server, which is protected by a password.
